Holland & Barrett healthy haul!

So as you can see I had some Holland and Barrett vouchers, plus some Rewards for Life vouchers (which I'll tell you about in a minute) so I had a look around (for quite a long time) and picked up some yummy new things to try (plus my favourite Nakd bar ever - cashew cookie, because I couldn't resist)!

Firstly, I bought some wonderful new teas which I'll tell you more about in a separate post, but they're cute little envelope tea bags in some new flavours. I bought green rooibos and honey, strawberry and vanilla and pomegranate tea - all with their own benefits!

I also bought a bag of flaked coconut which was only 99p! I really love coconut flavoured everything and it gives you so much energy, so I thought it would be great to add to some foods. I especially love adding coconut to smoothies, or breakfast fruit and nut dishes. As well, coconut is great for home made treats like coconut macaroons or home baking your own coconut oat bars for example (which I will be trying soon)!

I bought some sugar free mints, because mints are always handy to keep in your handbag for after meals, but normally contain a lot of sugar and aren't the best for your teeth's health, so I thought these were great. And because of the low sugar content, they're low in calories too at about 3 calories per mint, so you certainly don't need to worry about having after-food mints (although don't overload on the low-calorie mints as they might produce a laxative effect)!

I also bought some natural, organic tofu to try some new Japanese recipes with like tofu stir frys and tofu rice dishes, but you're sure to see any recipes for that soon!

Finally, I bought some healthy bars! I bought three different Nakd bars in flavours 'cashew cookie', 'banana crunch' and 'rhubarb and custard' as I absolutely love the Nakd bars and you can read more about them in a separate post by clicking here. As well as the Nakd bars I bought two new types of bars that I haven't tried before from the 'The Food Doctor' brand and from 'PowerBar' for the gym junkies! But as with most of the things I've purchased, I'll do some separate and more detailed posts about them soon!

Anyway, Holland and Barrett is one of my favourite stores and they offer a really great rewards points service called Rewards for Life. It works like most reward schemes in that every time you spend some money in store or online you get some points back on a Rewards for Life card. Holland and Barrett offer a generous 4 points per £1 spent which is good in itself, but what's even better is that they offer a lot of 'extra points' deals where you can get a lot of points for buying certain products which is a great way to get points and also encourages you to try new things!

So look forward to some posts about new products and recipes soon! :)
